The Reine de Naples is an original and very nice lady watch, in my opinion. Better, it is exquisite. My wife wants one. one day, if she's kind, I will have to think about it. Best, Nicolas

Yes, Kari, you are absolutely right! Nico should hurry up. I am sure his wife really deserves the Reine de Naples:-) Plus I heard somebody talking about the possiblity of the classic model with the moonphase being phased out after 10 years in production. ... 

but I intend to buy 4897G unless Patek is making my special order. Darja is a lightly built Chick and an Annual Calendar would be too thick for her. Furthermore, the dial of 4897G is superb (and the watch is nearly sensibly priced). Best, Kari

I must have missed your report, Xavier, ....which is well done by the way! I was told by the boutique manager in Zurich that the original 2639 was "oblongue" (thats also what the extract of the archive says) but not necesseraly egg-shaped like the current...
