Breguet

With french hallmarks and a Swiss movement it places this rare little one before 1976… could it even be pre Chaumet ? Who knows but it’s super rare to see a cushion case and champagne dial on a breguet ! ...

You might be able to pin down the date of manufacture. I know Breguet offered extracts from their archives as recently as 2015. It would be great to find out if it is indeed from the Chaumet era or the Brown era.

After I made my suggestion I then called a Breguet NYC and was told Breguet Fleetwood did not supply extracts, for privacy reasons. I hope they’re wrong and you’re right. Who have you talked to regarding this issue?

I want this to be art deco era Brown, but it is early 1980s Chaumet/Bodet. Still an important and extremely rare piece. Daniel Roth and Louis Caillet undoubtedly had a part in it. All pre-83 (first appearance in Basel) Breguets are grail tier in my book. ...
