Lunch

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending four engaging hours in conversation with Gregory Kissling, CEO of Breguet.

We enjoyed a great lunch and an excellent discussion. It’s always a pleasure to talk with someone like him about a wide range of topics, although naturally watches were the main focus. We also spoke about other brands such as Patek Philippe, A. Lange & Söhne, Swatch, and Audemars Piguet. It was particularly interesting to be able to compare and discuss them so openly. It made me appreciate even more that he is a true enthusiast, rather than just a temporary CEO who could just as easily move to any other company next year. It quickly became clear that he has deep knowledge and genuine passion, and that he is also open to discussing other brands.

I’ve had several lunches and dinners with CEOs of top manufactures before, including two or three occasions with Thierry Stern of Patek Philippe during a two day visit, but most of them tend to focus solely on promoting their own brand. That was not the case with Mr. Kissling.
