Who cares? But seeing as you are awake and working during this time, I understand how annoying that could be. There's a no date version?

Breguet Transatlantique Type XXI - Date change
By: Bader : September 6th, 2018-16:02
Hi, Can someone please confirm that the date change at midnight on this particular watch is a slow change over and not a quick date change? I would have imagined it to have a quick date change considering its expense and brand name. I am not refering to s...
Yes, it's a slow change.

The movement is a classic lemania chronograph. There are probably some cheap watches with quick change dates, it's hardly the sine qua non of haute horology.
Thank you

Thank you for confirming this. I have an IWC XII that has a quick date change and I assumed all quality watches operated the same quick date change function. Live and learn ...

There is a Pre-Kern-time at IWC !

IWC was an important part to create Lange&Söhne. IWC had the first wristwatch with Grand Complication, and this watch worked well. Not like the 1735 from White Bread, which comes later and never runs. IWC made the first well working calender perpetual, th...
Yes very slow

Great movement though.
A little disappointing
By: Bader : September 6th, 2018-22:43
Maybe I am being too fussy, but for a period of time prior to midnight the date window is ineligible and basically (not fit for purpose) whilst between the old and new date. Is this really the performance to be expected of a watch that retails at £8000 ? ...

I work shifts from 10pm - 6am, very tiring and easy to forget the date. However I love this watch and will accept any minor idiosyncrasies that it has. At the end of the day...it is still a Breguet

Yes, the 'No Date' Aeronavale
By: Bader : September 7th, 2018-07:10
I have owned Aeronavale's but I prefer the Transatlantique, I find it is more engaging. ...

"Watching the date change is like watching your mother getting dressed. You know it is happening every day, but you don't want to see it" I also prefer instant date change, but completely agree with comments above that it is in no way a sign of a "good" o...
In agreement
By: Bader : September 7th, 2018-02:23
Fantastic watch by the way - consider it's date behaviour part of its character and charm, not a flaw! Yes, I totally agree, much easier to accept now I know it is normal and not a fault
