I just came across this post, as I am quite interested in this model

I hear you regarding the date, and the consensus here is that the Ginza limited edition is purer / nicer. I thought so too as well initially, but strangely this date is growing on me.

If it had been just a regular rectangle, like every other date function on the market, I would have found it boring, and would prefer a non date version. But what they have done with the trapezoid aperture, and the numbers size to fit that odd shape, is very quirky. In many ways, it brings a touch of modernity to a model that's extremely classical and traditional. A little bit like the dash of red on the power reserve of my 1815 Auf / Ab makes it just a bit more playful and young.

So given the outstanding dial, top of its class movement and beautifully executed case, this might very well be my next dress watch.
