Breguet with Peseux 260

To revive an old topic...I wondered if anything further is known about these watches equipped with the 260 movement?


I see a few examples have appeared at auction in the intervening years but randomly cased over quite a period of time.

We're these movements held and then cased to order?

There appears to be no distinguishing features shared amongst the examples other than they were extremely expensive.

I see also see these referred to as 'Breguet Empire'...is this the correct term?

I'm fascinated by watches with this movement...
