The "the PR is only 38 hours and seems too little for two barrels" you should consider that on this caliber, that is considered by many as one of the best ten calibers ever made, the two barrels are there not to increase the power reserve but to balance the trust, producing an outstanding isochronism.
This caliber, that was the last one designed in house by Longines, then went to Lemania and not is on the good hands of Breguet.

The calibers are very different. The 591 is based on the Lemania 8810 which is based itself on the Longines 990. The low power reserve is not a true problem since the double barrel improves the thrust. The 777Q is a more contemporary caliber and I prefer ...
