Blancpain

“Editions Fifty Fathoms” “Fathom” is a unit of length used as a depth measurement in English-speaking countries. A fathom corresponds to a depth of 1.829 metres. Fifty Fathoms amounts to 91.45 metres – the exact depth one can reach with traditional diving...  

I was so happy to see Blancpain release this watch in 2007, if I remember well, a few years after another great one, the 50th Anniversary. Great presence on the wrist, very nice bezel, perfect legibility, and very nice movement, which is a step above the ...

It has been on my mind for the last couple of years. Beautiful in Rose Gold. I better head over to the Blancpain boutique in Xintiandi Shanghai (the largest one in the world) and check it out again. Dean

should never be in GOLD , as I am told many times .... But what the heck ! Especially when its this gorgeous ! Xintiandi is one of my must visit whenever I am in Shanghai ... more so now that HW is just across the road ;)

And also the largest Breguet in the world a across from Jaquet Droz, GO, and Omega. I call it Swatch Street. Dean

Breguet is still at the Bund, next to Rolex, and then a Swatch shop just round the corner. In Number 5, I think Patek has gone, along with UN. Greubel Forsey is still there. But now the main concentrations are in IFC Mall, with VC, IWC, Chopard, Panerai (...
