Blancpain

Watch nuts are ready for anything

Have you noticed the red tip of the seconds hand of Blancpain Leman chronograph? I always like that detail.

However, I wanted to get the original Blancpain rubber strap with red stitching. Such did not exist and I decided still to get one.

Blancpain has discontinued making the rubber straps. However, the London Boutique managed to find two from Switzerland and those were ordered to London from where I picked up the same. Then I contacted a well-known strap maker in Paris and asked them to remove the original black stitches and replace the same by red stitches. A lot of hand work.

I sent the trial strap to Paris and two weeks later they couriered the strap back.

Now my chronograph looks much better. In two days I will jump with that into the pool in Singapore.

What do you think?

Best, Kari
