Blancpain

If there is one piece I would not expect to ever see this, it is the fifty fathoms. Of course all can happen to anything mechanical but not on a fifty, don't you agree? Anyway I guess I have to take it in ;-( and I eat some pain blanc till it returns!...  

Maybe even a bit too original. For sure, Blancpain will fix that, but it is really frustrating, to say the least, to see that. Keep the faith, nonetheless! Best, Nicolas.

I did not capture it (I will try later), I even noticed some strange marks underneath (but in) the 'ceramic bezel' as if the water goes in it. I did not see that before, but I did.

... second, I personally do not consider this a Blancpain typical defect. A friend of mine picked up his Patek Nautilus 5711 at the AD, and 5 minutes later one index fell the dial... I guess you picked a bad piece, that is a shame, but as an long time own... 

I am amazed though... I have never seen any problems with the FF apart from the known early bezel problem (an easy fix) I condsider my FF to be the most solidly built watch I own You say normal daily wear, but please can you tell us more about what happen... 

Happens to the best of them... …But I certainly understand your frustration. I've had a chronic issue with a few sports watches from manufactures many consider the top houses in the business; I expected perfection when I buy from these types of manufactur...

Don't let this deter you from the swatch group. Very sad happenings but in life all things must be accepted. Perfection is an ideal that exists in mathematics but has no real life application. Again only the best wishes and a return of your beautiful FF

I have past the time of wasting my time (well still trying not to) and I past the time for pardon unless the parties have no interests. Those renown companies owe us one thing only, to ensure that we get quality. Personally I am fed up of those companies ...

After a thorough inspection, it appear that the watch received a choc from underneath (the back of one lug) In the first examination Blancpain says, on larger watches a choc of this sort causes resonance resulting this sort of damages... (I do not recall ... 

And for telling us how it could happen. Well, I had a 44 mm Panerai, the Arktos, to be precise, which had some " dangerous " moments, and which stood them excellently. Too bad it ends this way. Best, Nicolas

It is good to have a plausible explanation. Will you be keeping the watch after it has been repaired? At least it will have had a thorough examination and rebuild by Blancpain : )
