Interestingly enough I asked the NY boutique if they have a display model that I could see and it turned out they didn't. I guess the assumption is that they would pre sell anyway so why bother. I think the strap is terrible - trying too hard to match with the watch and flailing. Simple black would be way better. Also - one of the main points of this version is that it is thinner. Then why put it on a (cheap looking) nato strap which lifts it up on the wrist?! Anyway, thankfully lugs are regular 20mm so that's solvable. Whatever the material composition, the case looks bronze. I am not sure how I feel about that ... I think 10 years ago would have maybe felt unique, but now there are so many bronze watches on the market ... And I am sorry but one can not ignore the price .... Almost double the one of the 70th anniversary from earlier in the year (which certainly looks like the more expensive watch of the two) in a 2.5x larger limited edition.

Personally, I would prefer an entirely black strap but that is purely my own preference. Is this at the boutique at Paradeplatz?

Quite thick if you compare it with the vintage, but still, a nice looking one.

About the thick case and lugs, I can live with that, but way too expensive, in my opinion. I will detail this watch a bit later, when I have the time.

a higher % of gold. I haven’t problems with those long and straight lugs but probably they’ll be a dealbreaker for many.

The lugs are quite faithful to the original. Not longer, but much thicker.

9KT? they are selling a 32K$ watch as a gold, not saying its not really gold... none of the other Swiss manufactures has gone so cheap.... No wonder BP is on Ecmo for quite some time...

The FF3 even though has a smaller case its lugs are very long, the watch on the nato strap sits higher on your wrist and the lugs seem to protrude over on either sides of your wrist. The lugs also are parallel to the watch so they seem too high in relatio...

but indeed the nato sits higher - it looked smaller to me may be I didn't adjust it well. For sure in terms of weight the regular edition rose gold is heavier - top heavy so not the most comfortable.

While I like this stunner of a watch very much, it wants a large-ish and flat wrist. If I were a happy owner, I'd also replace that nato with a black, two-piece rubber strap - or even leather as these guys won't see that much water, probably. Cheers Marc
