Interestingly enough I asked the NY boutique if they have a display model that I could see and it turned out they didn't. I guess the assumption is that they would pre sell anyway so why bother.
I think the strap is terrible - trying too hard to match with the watch and flailing. Simple black would be way better. Also - one of the main points of this version is that it is thinner. Then why put it on a (cheap looking) nato strap which lifts it up on the wrist?!
Anyway, thankfully lugs are regular 20mm so that's solvable.
Whatever the material composition, the case looks bronze. I am not sure how I feel about that ... I think 10 years ago would have maybe felt unique, but now there are so many bronze watches on the market ...
And I am sorry but one can not ignore the price .... Almost double the one of the 70th anniversary from earlier in the year (which certainly looks like the more expensive watch of the two) in a 2.5x larger limited edition.
