Same for me ;) Finally, BP has made a historically correct diver case. Ardently waiting for a titanium/SS sandblasted version.

That there’s no date window! The 9K gold bronze is growing on me.

It's 32k usd!

 By: Treiz1337 : September 23rd, 2023-19:16
37% gold. at 32k usd you can have a 18 karat (75%) gold watch at any other brand.

Sure, but you can't have 9K gold bronze

This is something different!

The new trademarked alloy

Will be known as Unobtainium

Tell that to Tudor

 By: Treiz1337 : September 23rd, 2023-19:36
Looks like a Bronze Tudor Black Bay. This 50 is a nice homage. lol

But the material costs between 9k and 18k are likely under $2k for even a heavy case, so it’s not such a big influence in terms of manufacturing cost.

Second thought: Where’s Nico?

We need adult supervision!

Here’s the rumored details

42mm, limited to 555 pieces mil-spec inspired Some sort of gold bronze alloy Around 30K CHf

More than rumored

 By: Richard M : September 23rd, 2023-19:26
Here’s the specs from the Blancpain website: “The Manufacture is now offering a 555-piece limited-edition reinterpretation of the timepiece with its trademark moisture indicator. Faithful to its original 41.30 mm diameter, the Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversa...

You’re right

I like it, just sure about the price, seems excessive. Will this be only online or will be available at ADs like Act2? At this level of pricing I would need to try it before committing 555 pieces at over 30k shouldn’t be very hard to get for anyone who’s ...

Secondary market on the Blancpain 70th in a few years should follow JLC resale imho. Swatch may be following Richemont's lead.

Plus the Omega Heritage Seamaster 300 with bronze / gold case with METAS certification offers much more for less than half the 'pain. ...

😍

What's the bezel insert made of?

Looks cool but not a fan of the metal

Here are a few live shots…

Haven’t seen it in daylight yet, so real color needs to be taken with the caveat of artificial light only. Cheers Henrik ...

Superb close ups, as usual.

 By: amanico : September 24th, 2023-17:10

Nope

By: Blue and White : September 24th, 2023-09:40
I don’t like neither the hands nor the indices, as compared tk the regular production model. While the size of this limited model is excellent, the quality appeal is definitely lower than the standard FF .

The way I understand it Omega developed this metal to look mostly like bronze while being more stable than bronze and more durable than gold. If you're a fan of the way bronze

 By: InDebtButOnTime : September 24th, 2023-14:42
patinas it's not for you. For these reasons and the metal's color I like it. I also like the symmetry (no date) and the size. I'm not a NATO fan but that's an easy fix. Only thing I don't like is the price.

Well, I hate it.

 By: vitalsigns : September 24th, 2023-19:42
I take it back. I don't hate watches (usually). But this is so lame and expensive. And the movement is so ordinary that it's almost unbelievable. Did Panerai ship BP some movements but withheld the casebacks?

Spectacular! I love everything about it

 By: MiguelFlash : September 25th, 2023-16:16
But the 32k retail is beyond justification. I was frankly shocked when I saw the price. IMHO should have been priced high teens low 20s max. But what do I know?
