VW 1500 Karmann Ghia and Karmann Ghia. Some pictures and ads.
Some weeks ago, Mike posted some pictures of the VW 1500 Karmann Ghia. A car you much less often see that the Karmann Ghia. Two different styles, two different characters.
The VW 1500 Karman Ghia:
The much most famous Karmann Ghia.
As you can see, both existed in convertible or coupé.
The downside? The maximum speed: 132 Km / h. Which is a bit just nowadays on the european highways, at least.
But how cool they are!

The P 1800 must be lot more fun to drive than a K.G.
The 1750 is also charming but I don’t find it as beautiful as the the other two. Anyway all three are superb cars you can use and not get ruined in the process.
I've always thought about buying the convertible...
and in my climate, it would be a perfect morning and evening car. (Convertibles are no fun when you're 18 degrees above the equator and the sun is pounding down at midday.) -Dean
You can do a lot to these vw engines to get super HP.
The design is super cool. But the early low light ghia is kiler.
The less common (at least here in the US) 1500 Karmann Ghia looks like a "regular" Karmann Ghia and a Corvair had a child. I've always liked it. Its my favorite of the two KGs. Love the
3/4 rear view of the all whlte coupe! Interesting and attractive styling... and with a sunroof! Perfect!
