Weight is the enemy of a great handling car and Colin Chapman understood this as early as 1952 when he founded Lotus Cars. The Elise S1 was pure to this concept and pioneered advances in car construction used by many car manufacturers today. I had one of the first Elise S1 made and it was fabulous. Did you enjoy your 65 Elan ?
