Mazda RX-7 FD
There are 2 JDM I consider to be my absolute dreamcar.
First of all the Nissan Skyline R32/R33/R34 ... but they're like that very hard to find material called Unobtanium. Very hard to find a decent one, very hard to find (very expensive) spare parts, very hard to find someone who actually knows these cars where I live ... I think a Ferrari would come cheaper in the end.
Several years ago a fabulously beautiful red R34 made quite the fuzz here around town. It was tuned to around 800 hp and several of my friends had a go in it, all said it was out of this world.
In the end he had to sell the car, police confiscated it and the judge ordered the owner to sell it to a foreign country ... or face serious consequences ... . Yes, the car was THAT crazy LOL.
More obtainable would be a Mazda RX-7 FD (although I also really dig the FC).
Powered by a twin rotor Wankel engine delivering around 250 hp.
There are a few people here who know how to take care for these so that would be a more viable option.
Pricewise I guess I wouldn't be far of buying a secondhand Alpine A110 .... .
Just a dream for now, maybe reality in a couple of years ?
We will see, I just hope prices of these things don't go up like crazy.
For now I am enjoying these 3 pics I took at the barn a few years ago when a friend unexpectedly showed up with this stunner.

Not super crazy about the Supra.
Although it would be a much better car in many ways. I do like it with a lot of modifications but it is quite a heavy car, I've driven one my cousin owned back then, extremely fast indeed but hard to keep on the road I guess, never really trusted that car...

However, meanwhile Alpine A110 is for me more convincing as a whole - and I am speaking of the base version… I would not need more… 🥰
I love all Japanese sports cars from late 80s to late 90s. I had two 1st gen MR-2s. 87 NA and 89 Supercharged. Both were awesome. Had a MKIV Supra TT and a 300ZX TT simultaneously.
Both could have been a bit lighter (both around 3500 lbs). Both were fast and both were superb. 2JZ GTE is as reliable as an anvil ... even if pumped up to well over 1000 hp. The Z-32 was capable enough but please don't break (hard to work on). But it was...
