I once plopped down a chunk of money with B & C for a 340R
It was when I was stationed in Weybridge for a year.
When the factory found out I wanted to take the car to the USA, Lotus told the dealer to give me my money back…
They were working on a limited production US delivery plan and didn’t want me screwing things up by trying to privately import one. 🙁
Good thing too because 4 useless little sports cars is more than I needed (as I had about 6 2CVs then too)
