I just got a new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS. It's the dream car of my wife... She was born in 1987 in Soviet Estonia, just before the Estonian independency. This Soviet background is still influencing because she wants to socialise my car! Let it go... This ...
with Porsche it's always possible to delete the model designation and pretend that it's basic 911 with Turbo exhaust pipes. There's no low profile Ferrari... Best, Kari
I live 50 km far from Maranello (Ferrari), 30 km from Sant'agata bolognese (Lamborghini), 10 km from borgo panigale (Ducati). Ferrari is my choice because, as mentioned above, you already have Porsche...but specially because it will be your one and only t...
Ferrari, okay you already have a Porsche but ... .. the Ferrari will be sooOOOOOOO much more involving to drive, more brutal, visually more emotion, the sound will be louder and sharper even if it's a Turbo (so is the Porsche Turbo). Okay, the Porsche wil...
Silver IMO...in fact racing colours of every country should be obliged White - Japan Red - Italy Silver - Germany Blue - France Green - England you see only thing that I don't have problem with is colour of car I have that other poor man problems D
... would have been appropriate. But since you mentioned the words Duvel and Beer i am now longing for a drink ;-) ... and i forgot to take my beer i left in my workshop yesterday :-( .. i hope the bubbles will be cold enough ! Bim
and heard some horror stories about Bugatti from my friends in UAE. Furthermore, the max. speed in Finland is 120 km/h and in Estonia 110 km/h. I do not need such a fast car! Best, Kari
I had a close look at Aston Martin. Probably it is a fine car but it does not "speak" to me like Porsche or Ferrari. There's something Ford-like in AM... Best, Kari
as others since you have the Targa. Porsche 911 will still have small back seats, so always chance to squeeze in somebody....but Ferrari California T may have that option too, just smaller. Go for other Ferrari pure 2 seaters then....otherwise you may get...
I like my Patek Aquanaut 5167 a lot and it is entry level. It does not bother me a bit if something is entry level. For me the 2+2 configuration is quite important. Sometimes there's a need to squeeze a child to the back seat and it is good to have that o...
is missing from Porsche Cayman? I started my thinking about a new car from looking at Cayman GTS. However, I did not go further because this car is strictly a two-seater. I'm looking for a 2+2. But if I would be looking at a good, relatively affordable 2-...
for this I need to think more. I am a huge fan of the Cayman, it is an amazing car no doubt, but what the Alfa has is a different handling personality because the made chassis tub is made out of carbon fibre making it extremely light and even though a 4 C...
Prancing Horse as you have a Porsche already but it is what makes you happy that counts. PS: I tried the hands off "My car" thingy with the wife, it didn't work.
I'm working hard with the training of my wife. After over 6 years of education, she's already quite okay but I think still a couple of years are needed... Best, Kari
Like a Lotus Evora (in one of the supercharged iterations)? Will drive as well as the Porsche, if not better, you will be the only one with one, your wife will have little desire to poach it from you and it is a 2+2 The 2+2 requirement eliminates all Morg...
Thanks. I have not considered Lotus. I know the importer and I have not heard too much good about that car. BMW M4 is not an option. At the moment my wife has 435iX Cabriolet and the car is under snow. We do not drive it much. BMW's turbo is reacting quit...
What makes California T feminine? Too little power or design? I need to have a 2 + 2. The other alternative would be FF but it's so bloody ugly. Aston Martin is not really an option, at least the current models. Here the price drops like a rock from the s...
there is plenty of power for today's roads and conditions. I should read your requirements more carefully, I thought this was for YOU only, hence a 2+0 would be fine A used Aston (Vanquish) should not be ruled out, superb car. For me the best (in terms of...
A two-seater is not enough and FF is bloody ugly. I'll fly to Germany on Wednesday and will see the different models plus do a test drive. I think FF would be pretty perfect; nice engine and 4x4. But the looks... Best, Kari
But it\'s the kind of a car that grows on you big time and if you are not the red car kinda guy,This is the answer as the ff will look better in dark blue and a light beige interior. Engine roar is beyond, power,Space and the least car in the Ferrari lineu...
It\'s an SUV......Sports car is on another car if you know what I mean. A variation of AP royal oak offshore called the grand complication has a perpetual calendar,Split second and a minute repeater but I would rather take a 5078P or a 5370P maybe the AP...
Bentayga is a family car for the trips to Lapland and summer holiday trips around Europe. The smallest can sit in the back seat and watch the dvd. My toy car is to drive around and enjoy. However, it is a must to be able to give sometimes the wife and the...
that your current collection can\'t offer? You will never get the full potential out of your 4GTS so why bother with a Turbo? If I was you I would definitely go for a vintage Porsche or a Singer. Especially if it\'s going to be a leisure time car. It will...
Thanks, words of wisdom. I'm sure I will never use the full potential of my Targa GTS and thus, a totally different type of car would make sense. Best, Kari
and I've read your replies to this thread and your indicated budget, I think this ticks all your boxes, fun, 2+2 (roll cage can be removed), different from your other vehicles, can drive it in any weather (I think it can be so much fun in the snow), value...
in month plus. I do not really need a 4x4 as my BMW is a four wheel driver like Porsche Cayanne, my 911 Targa GTS and Cayanne. California T is just for fun. My white 435 is under the snow and it's difficult to find it! Best, Kari
Last year I purchased a Targa 4S for my wife. I optioned it for me, figuring she would not like it after a month or two, I figured wrong and she will not let me drive the Targa. I purchased a California T six months ago and have about 3500 miles on it. Wh...
The driving experience was so impressive that after the long test drive I chose nearly all the options and ordered the car. In Ferrari world 560 hp and 755 nm is not much but normal driving this car is a rocket. Furthermore, it's really handy to have a ca...
look like. If it's fantastic, I'm trying to change the order. Anyhow, California T is pretty amazing. I drove a tight ramp to the autobahn and noticed that the third (fastest) lane was empty. There was a small hole between the cars on the 1st and 2nd lane...
I saw one in Paris lately and it looks gorgeous, much larger than I thought too (which is a good point for me). About power: Porsche has proven that it is not having the more power that matters but how the car is balanced in all the sectors (engine, suspe...
to get Porsche Turbo S but having that plus new 911 Targa GTS would have been too much. Now I can take Porsche when feeling like driving easy and slow. And Ferrari when wanting a bit more speed. Plus sometimes later this year Bentayga when needing the spa...
The Bentley was the most comfortable car I have ever owned and it was very fast also. The Cali T is just more fun, kind of like a track car on the street..
But as I'm getting with the same engine and style Bentley Bentayga, I wanted to get something different. And I noticed, this Ferrari is really fun to drive and still it can be used every day. Best, Kari
