Ford Powerboost

After some 2,500 miles in three months I've got to say this engine performs like a 'dream' when it comes to massive utility truck purposes.... It manages to blend performance and economy as well as any petrol engine could manage in a 3333kg (neat number wink) vehicle. On occasion, I'll even get an over 25mpg result on my typical commute from work to home and vice-versa. 3.5l twin-turbocharged V6 with a 41hp electric motor (3rd and 4th pic), and putting out a formidable 430hp and 570lbft of torque. Also, quite neatly packed inside the engine compartment in my opinion smile........

I personally feel the hybrids and plugin hybrids are a more sustainable approach and better stewards of our limited resources of lithium. Btw, the powerboost makes the pickup fun to drive doesn’t it?!

Totally agree....
