Ferrari 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’

The 365 GTB/4 was produced between 1968 and 1973 and was superseded by the Berlinetta Boxer. It was powered by a front engine 4.4L V12 producing 263kW with a 0-100kph time of 5.4 seconds. The front engine layout was in contrast to the mid-engined designs that were popular in the mid 1960s and successful in racing. The car weighed a svelte 1200kg. Some 1284 were produced over the five year production life, however there were only 158 RHD coupes. The car was informally known as the “Daytona” because of Ferrari’s 1-2-3 win in the 1967 Florida 24-hour of Daytona race.
