Photo is from 1983 (me, crossing a scrap yard): I really loved this bike, despite of its shortcomings (battery too weak, speedometer fogging up all the time etc etc.). The torque curve was phenomenal! The R nineT version of the R80 G/S is called "R nineT ...

Congratulations! Great bike! I had the R nineT and modified it slightly: clip on bars, different mirrors, monopost...) Now I ride this R1200C And this Confederate Hellcat X132 ...

I tried it but it was too small for me and I had the impression to sit on a stool. Nice torque and power though. And the looks... one of the best modern ones. Should I go the BMW route, it would be an S1000XR but I would loose my licence too fast with tha...
