They just came out with the new Alpine Enstone Edition. Which I like every detail except for the British flag on the roof - the car is French, not British! There are speculations that Alpine may come to the USA market. But primarily as an electric sports ... 

Yesterday i had the pleasure of driving it the whole day, perfect car for groceries 😁 ...  

But you probably agree on that 😝

A quick update, so yesterday i took the A110 out for the day and offcourse it is a fabulous feeling. However, at the end of the day my back hurt quite a lot. I did have some difficulties finding a correct or comfortable seating position due to my lenght. ... 

But The Bim is happy, it seems. he seems to be quite happy driving the Alpine for groceries.

You must have huge airplane bills... You probably have to fly in First Class! I'd go bankrupt on airline tickets if I were that tall.

.. is something I can't afford. I have been lucky a few times, while boarding a plane the stewards put me either in: 1. Long leg room space 2. 3 seats to my own 3. Business ... with all included for free. 4. Once in the cockpit as well on the jumpseat ...... 

All my money goes to watches and clocks. So there's no money left. But I've been very fortunate too to get into Business or First Class probably more often than most!

… me his car from time to time …. So i don’t have to buy one myself 😅. My Megane with the same engine has done 95.000 km by now, hauling an extra 380 kilos without any trouble. I still call it the family-car, a very capable family car i must admit. ...  

If your driving is always within 150km from your home, a Tesla works well. Double wishbone suspension! RWD mostly. Very reliable. Minimal maintenance. And if you have solar panels, your electricity costs very little. The AMG in the garage is seldom driven... 

Tesla P85d 700 hp Tesla S performance 800 hp Taycan Turbo S 760 hp Polestar 2 400 hp Megane etech 220 hp Undeniably great cars … but not like petrol cars … they miss the raw character of a real engine 😁 I am thinking of buying a small EV in the near futur... 

The Mercedes C Class is coming out with a double wishbone suspension eventually though. The Model 3 has awful brakes though. Worse brakes I've ever owned on a car. And yes, there's something missing. It's also very noisy, lots of road noise. A thrill is m... 

When/if I buy an EV It can be sporty like a Model 3 or the upcoming Alpine A290 ... but above all it has to be very comfortable and quiet. If I want noise I can take my Clio with the cold air intake and insulation taken away above the exhaust .... . I do ... 

I agree, the noise on the Tesla is a bit annoying. My Tesla was built in December 2018. I think the more recent built ones are a lot quieter. Probably a better structure, more baffling in the metal structure to absorb some sound, and more fender liners to... 

... where taxes are highest worldwide ... and also the cost of living starts to explode especially compared to our neighboring countries I have to find a way to do some things less expensive :-(. The combination of solar panels / electric car (a cheap one... 

I like petrol cars too. But with Petrol prices rising even in USA (we're not much cheaper than Europe anymore, we used to be half of the price of Europe) and the fact that we drive very long distances sometimes... One has to consider switching to an elect... 

.... I can put an electric motor inside the Megane ... .. I can take the 1.8 out and sell it to you when yours in the A110 blows up ... .

Just get a Tesla for commuting and keep the Megane for weekend fun use! That's what I did. And now, I've learned to like the Tesla. Great suspension. Probably the best suspension I've ever experienced for this price point of a car. Great damping. Double w...

True, missed the small logo/detail on my IPad. And looking at the writing on the top, Pont l’eveque in the middle of the pays d‘auge. So many memories - Enjoy this beautiful part of France and so close to the capital! PS: There was an article on FT weeken...
