All but Porsches !
The 50th birthday of the 911 is celebrated worldwide, also in Brussels.
This evening i went to the exhibition at the Autoworld Expo " From Electric to Eclectic" !
The opening pic shows us the probably most legendary streetPorsche ever; the 1972/73 911 RS 2.7
downstairs were some current classic racers all based on 70 and 80ies 911's.

Difficult to pick a favorite, i DO like the newest 991, but it should be an air-cooled one
... 964 is nice but i might go for the original !
Upstairs were some serious race Porsches ... starting off with the 956 ...
The STUNNING 935 !
The crazy wide SUNOCO CanAm, a V12 boosting 1200 hp !!!
The 917
A so called 918/8 Bergspyder with an 8 cylinder 2 litre engine developing 270 hp !

I love this !
The rear of these cars looks even more impressive !
Classic 911, not much that can beat this pure beauty !

Soon reality sneaked in and there was the rain, modern dull cars, traffic and anger :-(
Saying goodbye to King Filip .... we're very happy to have him ... so we're sure we can pay our taxes ....

964 RS ... yes ! 991 50th anniversary ... yes maybe as an every day luxury car ... but i would rather go for the GT3 :-) I didn't live a dream Nicolas, nice to see all the stuff, but without the smell and sound ... naaah .... :-( I lived a dream last week...

... i was told Israël traffic judges are worse than here in Europe ... after i had done some pretty silly thing with my rental car :-) Bim

... felt strange .... not an impressive car but the impact it had those days .... . Entering the big hall and seeing 7 generations of 911 in the back was also very impressive. See you my friend ! Filip

As much as i love the 959 ...
.. the F40 was indeed the king of 1987-88 :-) and beyond .... . Both are highly valuable these days and very expensive to drive/maintain .. i know the fueltank (bag) on the F40 has to be replaced every ten years ... and i bet it's quite expensive :-) ... ...
