A nightmare
From what i know it was not a good Renault.
Due to a quick rust process the car was a nightmare.
I never knew who had one, so it was a rare car on the roads.
The 12 was more strong, so i think the 14 was not tested good enough before it was put on the market.
When the 9 and 11 came, we saw better Renaults, so i guess Renault knew they had made a blooper with the 14.

Ahhh, only the French can do it like this Nice comparison. Well explained. I really like this interior, feels very cosy and warm. It reminds me of some cars during my childhood. I don't think I ever had a drive in the Renault 14 though :-( Trying to sell ...

.. off course not this R14 to be honest. But the R5 of those days was and is a true icon. Soon I will buy my own R5 electric, I will invite you for a testdrive my friend ;-) Bim

Yes the 14 was a disaster indeed !
My wife bought a brand-new Alfa GTV 6 back in the 70ies and it started to rust after one year .. . Actually I think they already started rusting in the showroom , heck no, you could already see the rust in the catalogue
