1. Remember to only do aggressive driving AFTER the engine oil is warmed. Keep in mind, engine oil takes about 15 minutes to warm up while coolant only takes about 5 minutes to warm up.
2. Change the engine oil and filter more often. If the service interval is 15,000 miles, halve it. If the service interval is 10,000 mile, try to do it around 6,000-7,000. It's not only about reducing metal and metal wear, it's about other rubber seal components within the engine that actually benefit from certain additives in the oil.
3. Remember to change the transmission oil if applicable. Everyone seems to forget this and the differential oil. Remember, your car has two differentials!
4. (joke) Donate to the district attorney's re-election campaign. Donate to the Sheriff's re-election campaign. Resist the urge to speed! The police will gladly stop this machine and give you a long verbal lesson about the fact you should drive very carefully.
5. (serious) Befriend the technician and befriend the service advisor. They need to be on your Christmas Card list. Just in case anything goes wrong outside of warranty. Stick with the same service advisor. It's a long-term relationship.
6. Ask your gas station if they give discounts to "fleet customers."
