When you consider

the real world range available, it's all a bit silly.
For optimum battery life they should only be charged to 80%, then, all manufacturers overstate the real world range, usually by at least 10%
So, that smart looking 'earth friendly" eco-marvel isn't at all what you think.
Now that we don't have natural gas (thanks to European suicide because Russia), nuclear power is verboten, where do you think the electricity comes from,, could it be coal fired power stations? Eeeek!
And then you have that oh so earth friendly lithium mining....no slavery or pollution there....do they think we're all idiots?
For example, if they say it has a range of, say, 300 miles. That's on a full charge (bad for battery life) and specialized driving techniques. De-rate that by 30% and you have its probable practical range.
This is all before you factor in cold weather performance, at least another 33% lost. In winter your super eco friendly 300 mile coal/oil powered eco posemobile will have a range of about 140 miles.
Magnificent, bravo!
Add to that its unbelievably competitive price, inconvenience, range anxiety and they are a must for all virtue signalling eco poseurs.... I will go and order mine....Oh, in about a decade when solid state batteries are here, if that isn't more vapourwear!
