I have been offered a 15202 stainless at a pretty decent price. It has been one of the watches on my wishlist for a while. However, while I can afford to keep my RO Chrono (blue face, orange hands, stainless), I think it would be quite superfluous to do s...
But keep your chronograph. I think the prices for a new 15202 are absurd, and I'm an owner. I have a personal policy to never pay over retail. For what these post at now, you can own something like a UN Freak, which again in my opinion, offers quite a bit...
Thank you for the advice. I have the same personal policy and I am getting it very very close to retail. Hence the dilemma. Don’t want to buy it and then sell it, as I will be taking someone else’s spot and that’s another personal policy of mine. Will rep...
Just added the chrono, same ref as yours but with panda dial. They have a very different feel. I think they supplement each other very well. I would keep the chrono if you can and make a decision later. It also depends what other watches you have. But don...
The panda dial is brilliant - it was my second choice of the chronos and definitely more versatile than the one I have, but the heart prevailed. My other watches are a Reverso 8 days GMT and a MUT Moon. Will hopefully be adding a Patek 5396R at the right ...
what do you mean by decent price? And what other watches you have in your collection and how often you wear them, especially your chrono AP. Really only you can give the answer... The jumbo is one of 5he nicest APs and I would love to have one... hopefull...
The 15202 is a superb watch, ... much like MANY MANY other superb watches that are available. If you have small wrists (mine are 6.5"), the newer ones with the butterfly deployant are better. Single sided, I couldn't get it to fit right. The lack of a dyn...
Size shouldn't be an issue as the 39mm chrono is the same size/case (someone please correct me if I am wrong). I actually liked the lack of a dynamic seconds hand - felt a bit old school and time passing slowly, but that may be me getting old!
If that’s the case, not only I’d pass on the watch, but IMO they should definitely be reported😉 Otherwise, it is a difficult dilemma — a popular piece vs one that carries for you a sentimental value...as you said, the best way might be deciding after tryi...
It's a few years old safe queen bought by a friend and never worn, being offered at very close to retail as a favour. He's paring down his collection and this is an offer to friends only (hence I have to act before others do and that's the "spot" I was re...
Thanks all for the inputs. Have asked him for it and if I do get it, will post pictures. If I don't like it, will sell it at the same price to the next person who responds to him
Would have been the sensible thing to do! Unfortunately, someone else didn’t dither like I did and I missed this one. Slightly disappointed but philosophical. Wasn’t meant to be and I hope the watch has gone to someone on this site (and they post pictures...
Coincidentally was told by one of my AD friends today that this year is totally sold out and the earliest there is even a sniff of a chance of getting one is late next year.
I often call the 15202 the perfect AP but the decision come down to which one do you prefer seeing on your wrist. Tough choice but your screen name tells me something.
