Short visit to AP Boutique Frankfurt to see Code 11.59 live.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t honor AP’s invitation to SIHH 2019 because of a major strike at the local airport so I went to see a couple of Code 11.59 models at AP Boutique Frankfurt earlier today. I don’t want to go into detail about the pros and cons of this new line as there have been many reports and reviews all over the place. The standard three-hands model isn’t my taste at all; the dial really puts me off. However, the chrono actually looks quite good to me. It’s bold, yes, but somehow it’s a coherent concept IMO. She did a good job, but they are just not what I’m looking for at this time. Still, I will keep an eye on their evolution, and how the innovations are incorporated at AP.
I agree that the chrono is the better of the bad
I can’t get over the sub dials with the JLC font off the deepsea chrono and even the Polaris it’s like they took the same sub dials and plopped them on all the models across the brands.
I appreciate your feedback as a real AP fan.
I have not seen any new models in person yet, and as always, save my full thoughts until then. For now, my opinions remain that I love the case, am intrigued with the movements, and see a lot of promise for this new collection.
