Royal Oak Concept Laptimer Michael Schumacher Limited Edition
Flash back to slightly more than a month ago, I had a chance to closely inspect another impressive piece of wrist art from AP, the RO Concept Laptimer.
The large watch commands a huge wrist presence with its avant-garde design, but is also very comfortable to wear thanks to the lightweight cutting-edge materials. The curved bezel and crystal kind of soften this very masculine watch.
Of course, the main selling point of this watch is the groundbreaking chronograph movement. Designed and developed from scratch, this incredible movement boasts 3 column wheels to enable continuous lap-timing. As usual, AP's top-notch finishing is evident in this incredible movement.
My Millenary 4101 posed together with the fantastic RO Concept Laptimer. Both are looking great!

And that's the beauty of AP - quality up and down the line. Regarding the Laptimer, can someone help me out, I can't find the third column wheel! If the top of your great macro is "12", I see the two column wheels at "10" and "4". But where's the third on...

As for the 3rd column wheel, I believe it is not readily available for viewing unless the movement is dismantled. Thanks for reading!

Any AP enthusiast would be excited about the Laptimer, because it is such an amazing watch! The in-house movement developed from scratch combined with the limited edition of 221 pieces is more than enough to justify it's worth if you can afford it.

Curved bezel and crystal
I have not seen this concept in person but I am very happy to hear that AP have incorporated the curved bezel and crystal again as first seen in the CW1. I personally prefer this to the flat bezel and hope AP continue to use the curve bezel and crystal on...

I would love to see a ROO with curved bezel and crystal ... would be a nice subtle way to soften the hard edges and I reckon it would look pretty spectacular.
That is a bad boy watch.
There is no way my watch could accommodate that watch...but the technical parts are wonderful. The movement pic is like at the insides of a factory!
