RD2 new dial much better than expected!

I had the opportunity to play around with the RD2 and it was much more stunning than I had ever expected. I won’t lie I was originally disappointed that Ap decided to not have a tapisserie dial for the RD2 but when I saw it in real it simply worked. To be more specific I believe the shiny surface of the platinum bezel works perfectly with this new flat dial. It’s the toned down simplicity of the dial that for me works with the busy reflective bezel. Just as a comparison I attached pictures of the 15202ip which has both the shiny platinum bezel in combination with the tapisserie dial. Would you think this would look better with a simpler dial as well?

It looks great and I think the OG luxe sports watch is the perfect way to expose a wider audience to hardcore watchmaking. Hope the warranty is extended for this model, with such small tolerances there are bound to be some growing pains, which early adopt...

I’m also a huge fan of the traditional dial but for some reason I can’t get over the high gloss bezel.

Specially with a already busy calendar layout the toned down dial brings it back to class. Of course tastes differ no disrespect to 15202ip owners 😁

Both are great to own but...

Are they available or just dangling carrots? I will sell my kidneys to get both if they are offered to me 😂

I’d call them dangling carrots ha ha

It’s like my quest for the black ceramic perpetual calendar. 1-2 pieces per boutique per year makes getting one practically impossible.
