My point is...
If there are evidences of D serial with unsigned crown we can suppose all the 5402 production was originaly equipped with unsigned crowns. There was no reason for AP to change it, given the limited number of production of the reference.
The point is...are there pictures of D - serie 5402 without logo on the crown?
The watch used in the thread about the D-serie, for example, has an unsigned crown?
And why the most part of C and D serie 5402 which have been observed during the time till now by many people, are equipped with signed crown at the opposite of the A and B series? Is it possible that the most part of the supply crowns substituted with the original ones are focused on C and D series?
Best regards

a signed crown is also "original" - and specially in APs eyes, because if AP (or a authorizised dealer/watchmaker makes a revision at any time they change the crown at this modell. The reason is, that in the crown there is the blanket (or what it is call...

I have just check the invoice from Audemars Piguet dated April 2010 and yes, they do mention replacement of "crown, water-resistant, stainless steel, AP symbol". I think however that they should have given the "original" back to me!!!!! I'll ask them, but...
