Why don't you ask them to put it in writing, mentioning specifically that golf will not damage the movement ? I doubt they will write it...
Regardless what they told you or would accept to put in writing, I would NEVER put a mechanical watch for golfing whatever the brand (not more than for playing tennis btw). Serena Williams could not care less if it goes damaged as she can have a new one free of charge every week if she wants I am sure.
Imho the movement of any mechanical watch would definitely suffer from the vibrations caused by the impact.
Personally I would not like test just to confirm this but obviously only you can decide.
