And add a manual movement.
That sure would be something more than just a different material or dial color.
I find it reasonably unobtrusive…
When the date disc matches the dial but an even thinner, hand wound and date free version you mentioned above - definitely 😁👍🏻🤞🏻

Can you imagine if they did a manual winding, no date version? It would be unobtanium, but surely guys like Kevin Hart would get one and not even appreciate why we on this forum would lust it.

It is very well integrated on the 16202, but again that "what if" has me thinking.
The massive watch box tool kit? Yes and know.
It was a special accommodation. I paid a small sum, but not near the $5000 MSRP (and it was a dealer only kit). But the singular winding tool, they used to make a different version that was a boutique gift to clients. I am not sure if they still offer it....

I have only known it that way, but it has never looked out of place or distracting to the rest of the dial.

Keep in mind every inner angle on an AP is going to probably add a few thousand to the MSRP ;-)
But as posted above, a manual winding 39mm Royal Oak would be unobtanium anyways.

Reminds me a little of the slight differences between a PAM001 and PAM002, albeit without seconds. In this case a dateless one would be really nice as a unique piece. Peter

I think the conclusion here is the Royal Oak Jumbo is, and will always be, an icon, with the date. But... many of us would surely be pleased without a date. And if it went a step further and offered a manual movement, some of us might self-destruct!!
No, I like it, and it blends in very well.
Plus I can actually read it without the big magnifying wart or the basic white date wheels on sooooo many Pateks... I can hardly ready my aquanaut date but my AP jumbo date is great.

I think the date window has its merits, however from a streamlined perspective I think that a no date would just be sublimely symmetrical!
