There is so much to delve into with the new 43mm Royal Oak Offshore line. Crazy day here, so let me start with just 2 points: 1. I'm not sure I have seen a profile shot anywhere, despite the many articles on the watch. Not the best photo here, but at leas...  

I love the dial and congratulations. Can't wait for more shots.

I'll continue to try and bring the insight of a long time AP collector. There really is lots to discuss with the watch, and I will get to some more detailed posts about it.

At 43mm it fits me wel. Your pictures shows the shapes, so i know it fits me very wel. Hight is huge, it’s serious business.

AP is a stating it, so we should confirm it. And I definitely do!

My days evaporate lately with obligations. I wanted to get it posted though, this combination is absolutely phenomenal.

In terms of a new model. I was tempted by some of the others that were launched in recent years - the commando, the green-ish 44, the Pride of Germany, etc. But I am very glad I waited, I knew something more to my liking was coming along

It’s too funny because in response to your post of your classic Safari the other day, I wondered aloud about how this new piece may measure up…perhaps a modern Safari based on its unique colorway. It does look awesome on you….and I had already asked the b... 

These past weeks, as I suspected I was getting closer, I considered how this particular version is sort of a Safari type release in terms of uniqueness. AP did make the platinum smoked dial Offshore a few years ago, but this dial is much better (I did try...  

At first glance I thought it was the same new taupe ROO you just bought…and I was thinking “wow, how’d he get a bracelet that fits this new model already?!”. Then i looked closer and saw it’s a different watch. I never knew there was a platinum 42mm ROO b... 

It was a small run, and I happen to catch one on a very rare boutique visit. You can imagine the heft of an all platinum bracelet and case. The watch was provided with a second strap, including the plots and buckle. I know I have more photos somewhere, I ...

This is a brand often copied, but never replicated. How many other brands now offer dials that darken on the perimeter... To see some of things they do is really cool, you certainly know exactly what I am talking about!

Very different watches, but the Safari has stood the test of time as an original design. This model will too, IMO.
