I know for certain that the Mini was offered in the USA for many more than influencers smile

That being said, given the desirability of this piece and the fact you need to jump the queue over others that have more than one AP, I also think it's fair to confirm that the collector is a long-term client!

For FPJ owners - would they offer an Elegante as a first piece? Or Patek - a ladies' Nauti/Aquanaut? You can't even get a Hermes Birkin without spending at least the same amount in accessories.
I mean, if it was for a standard ladies 34mm stainless or gold model, I don't think this scrutiny would apply at all.

Yes the world is screwed up these days requiring brilliant Dermatologists to do a reference check to buy a 40k watch smile I wish there was an easier and simpler way to acquire desirable luxury items. But money is cheap and widely available and true exclusivity is hyper rare these days. Anybody with good money can buy their way to break through with grey market - the difference here is building a bona fide relationship - and that costs nothing.

Anyway, enjoy the mini!!!

Took A LOT of work, much more than I anticipated. Had to submit a bio on her accolades and her dermatology professional page to AP for approval, it was nuts! But its her push present and the only AP that she loved at first sight, so I had no other choice!...

AD’s have become such jerks. It shouldn’t have taken you any work, but that’s the world we live in 2024. I hope she enjoys the watch and you never have to deal with this AD again.

From what they told me the roll out for this piece was geared toward influencer allocation and she was one of the first non-influencers to get one so central AP wanted to have information on who it was going to be allocated to! My AP team does take really...

you makes this is more ridiculous. If they take such great care of you, then why are they asking you to prove who you are. And if AP doesn’t trust their own ADs, what does that say? Sorry but there is no excuse.

For the wife, huge congratulations!! For AP, an embarrassment. I'll never fault a business for forging their own path. And I still LOVE many AP watches. But this kind of stuff, and the massive left turn they have made over recent years... not at all who I...
