All great points. This is why seeing something in the metal makes all the difference.

Dreaming...

 By: pfang56 : May 18th, 2023-22:53
Of a Starwheel!! One of the best releases ever. Praying to the allocation gods for good karma Cheers Peter ...

This is the most convincing picture Iโ€™ve seen of this piece so far!

 By: ArmisT : May 18th, 2023-22:57
It really looks perfect on your wrist. I still find the large wheels a bit overwhelming, but your wrist shot shows how balanced and cool the watch can look as a whole.๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

Thanks! It looks special in person...

 By: pfang56 : May 19th, 2023-00:52
And seems incredibly versatile as sport or chic or technical - the photo didn't do a perfect job of showing the aventurine highlights - but I think it's another detail that makes this watch special! Cheers Peter

Actually, part of the reason why I said this is best pic ever is because this is the first time I was able to see and appreciate the blue sparkle of the aventurine portion!

 By: ArmisT : May 19th, 2023-02:16
Again, the large dark discs cover up most of dial, which I wish showed more aventurine beautyโ€ฆbut I at least saw some thanks to you. Iโ€™m sure in person itโ€™s even better too.๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

Ahh yes!!

 By: pfang56 : May 19th, 2023-14:58
It also has a diverse mix of skeletonized finishes on the dial. And a black ceramic mid-case and crown! All quite harmonious. I think without the ceramic and without the aventurine it would be a very different and sober look. Cheers Peter

Agree

I tried it at the Ap event โ€ฆ I wish it was mine

How will it end? ;)

Not this year chiefโ€ฆ

Political & Economic situation in Pakistan is really bad . Interest rates 25% and devaluation of the currency almost 60 percent year to year basis

Ouch. Too bad.

 By: amanico : May 21st, 2023-07:14

Indeed...

 By: pfang56 : May 19th, 2023-00:53
Thanks for the well wishes on allocation. It seems to be a unicorn piece - but one worth a wait or a wish or a dream! Will we see you with one soon? Cheers Peter

Thanks!

Good luck to all of us and our wishlists...thank god they don't arrive all at the same time or I will be eating Ramen for a year! Peter

I might be already there ๐Ÿ˜…

I have just declined one, which I've been waiting for a while, but the timing is not right... too many "calls" this quarter!

Feeling the pain!

I think I'm a "1 watch offered at a time" man now I guess when it rains it pours... Peter

cased in an innovative format makes for a beautiful combination.

Yes!

We did discuss this before here...but after Remaster 01 I was totally hoping for a Starwheel or a 5516 Remaster. And lo and behold, the Starwheel appears...just incredible. I quite enjoy the canvas of the CODE and enjoy the dynamism the seconds hand provi...

The Remaster is a looker...

 By: mdg : May 19th, 2023-01:34
...until you see how fat it is. Why didn't AP put in a manual movement? And at retail it is very pricey...

+++1!

If this is the model you have your heart set on, I wish you the very best in acquiring one! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

 By: NickO : May 18th, 2023-23:53
For me, this design is a little overwhelming as thereโ€™s a lot going on! I find the original AP Star Wheel to be more balanced and more classically elegant. I guess that makes me a vote for old school and you a vote for new school. Vive la difference, mon ...

Well, nothing beats the original.

 By: pfang56 : May 19th, 2023-00:58
And the incredible dial on the OG coupled with the clear discs and the fabulous font make the original even more special. I know if I don't succeed in allocation then I will probably get the vintage piece anyway...or maybe both!!! Cheers Peter

it looks great on you and I hope you get one allocated ! ๐Ÿ‘

 By: christianch : May 19th, 2023-00:03
This said is a bit of a sad state of affairs that a client has to pray for an allocation. This is why I no longer buy APs

Sadly it's become so consistent across the board...

 By: pfang56 : May 19th, 2023-01:12
When there are even more incredible pieces released by manufacturers, playing with desirability and supply. I feel many times I'm playing with months to years of waitlists across several brands and sometimes being surprised (the Ceramic Beast) and being d...

you are 100% right! ๐Ÿ‘

 By: christianch : May 19th, 2023-08:00
I still feel lucky to own 3 APs including the 39mm openwork rose gold ! but to me the key was the buying experience. I acquired all these watches by ADs and it was really such a pleasure to try on pieces and buy then. This was around 2017-8. Not everythin...

Supply and demand I guess. But can anyone tell me what time it is on that watch face? Iโ€™m stumped.

 By: gmark2800 : May 19th, 2023-03:24

Indeed...a true multi-dimensionality

 By: pfang56 : May 19th, 2023-14:52
And a mix of materials, surfaces, functions, and movement. I love my Urwerk but this one really strikes at my heart! Peter

I think it is definitely one of the best models...

 By: pfang56 : May 19th, 2023-14:54
If luck appears with the allocation - I'm super happy - but I'm already pleased with my PC Peter ...

I have a feeling the call will come...

 By: MichaelC : May 21st, 2023-15:15
I am very excited to see this one in person. Hopefully this summer. Good luck to you dear Peter!
