Ok, honestly said my AP's are serviced at the Hong Kong service center and I have no complaints. That was the reason why I was amazed by the treatment at the Singapore service center.
To be short my friend has launched a complaint via the official AP website. Described the situation and gave an opinion about the quality of the service.
AP service center Singapore responded immediately with a peace offer to perform the maintenance of the watch at no cost. The only thing required is payment for replacement parts, which is fair in my opinion.
I appreciate the offer made by AP as did my friend who took on the offer and brought in the watch for the maintenance.
For me it still is a bad experience, it should not have to be this way.

Always frustrating when you have to go through the more official lines to get the desired outcome (which was always the reasonable and fair one from the outset) but certainly not unique to AP - that however doesn't excuse! Hopefully they will sort it out ...
