Hi All, Same watch - ordered an additional dial. It is blue/grey in color. I like both. Which dial do you prefer on the watch? I appreciate the votes! Thanks, asg...

Congratulations on adding this watch to your collection! I like the silver dial best, both for the more classical look as well as the ease of reading the time compared with the dark dial. I think I speak for everyone here in asking you for movement photos...

The blue grey may have been your fault! I remember seeing a picture of a CH27 with a blue grey dial from one of your visits to Kari's workshop. I am leery to move away from the silver - to me classic Voutilainen. But the blue is so rich looking....... I l...

The movement was from a pocketwatch - he has reworked the movement so much, that Kari said it doesn't compare to the original anymore. Kari has modified the movement to be about 7mm smaller than it was originally and completely replaced the gear train, ma...

I find that this color works very well with the style of the watch, the silver dial looks more common to me. Fr.Xavier

... there's way more silver dialled KVs than grey... I'll go for the more unique alternative in almost every case Good that you have both!!

... and what else is in the collection. For a white metal case I prefer the white dial. But the grey dial looks superb too and, being a chronograph, the watch lends itself to a more casual appearance. The grey dial would look impressive against a RG case ... 

Certainly, in pictures the grey has more of immediate interest going on, but, to me, the silver/white is cleaner and less busy. The silver/white may be the watch you might really wish to wear day in and day out. Since you've had with that face and already... 

Such a tough call. They are both superb. My vote will the grey. Simply because the silver is very classic Kari and this watch is anything but. Just to be different, I'd go grey.

grey dial with blue hands.....for me, darker colour dials look better for chrono watches; eg datograph, datona.

I might find it hard to see the blue hands against the grey dial, depending on the angle and light. Regards, Richard.

Congratulations - what a magic watch. Grey for me, purely because to me it is a 'classic' Voutilainen dial colour. But the white is stunning as well. No wrong answer here. And with a movement that well finished, I'd also be tempted from time to time to re...

Come on Anthony - Which one - either or. I think the rules I am setting are: 1. If someone answers with more than one reply - i count the reply stated first as the official "vote" 2. If someone says "I like both" - the default vote would be for the Silver... 

I really would have a difficult time choosing. If you put a gun to my head and made me choose, I may then have to choose the silver dial because that watch will be more versatile with your outfit IMO. But if I chose the silver dial, I would always think, ... 

This is why I ordered the watch with "options" - Bespoke is the way to go! Be well! asg

...(such as the Observatoire ) the grey would be [is...] sensational. On a chrono you want ease of reading first and foremost, hence a personal vote for silver - on that watch. Oh, and a blued hand on the western subdial would be an interesting option as ... 

Personally I think it's good to keep the chronograph and civil time hands separate colours. But I do agree about legibility of a chronograph and the silver dial. But one thought: do you think that a 'dress chronograph' which I am classing Kari's work as, ... 

.... of the purpose in selecting the chronograph' 'complication' in the first instance. If you intend to use it as designed, then why not opt for optimum functionality? If you do not, then why select it at all? Indeed, to paraphrase a recent HoMe moderato...

The silver dial speaks to me more. The classic silver dial is even more timeless than the gray dial in my opinion. Go for the silver dial if you want a classic looking watch. Go for the grey dial if you want a sportier modern timepiece.

I prefer the silver dial...... easily, for its clearer legibility, more classic and simple (the best things life.....) appearance. Thats the one I would go with, without a doubt. But yes, having two is always a huge bonus. You can go with one for some mon... 

but I will go for grey

Hey ASG, I absolutely loved the first photos of this watch with the silver dial, but based on these pictures I'd have to go with the mouse fur. Looks really classy, very much in the KV mode, and of course Kari's personal Observatoire has a mouse fur dial....

...although I also like both but this is a 55/45 split and the edge goes to the more versatile silver for me.
