A. Lange & Söhne

You can dive into that movement

Thanks for a great review foversta. I had the chance to see the movement with a magnifying glass last week as I spent a few hours at the Lange dealer. This movement is absolutely breathtaking in the sense that I felt my heart skipped a beat when I saw the decoration work around the swan neck. The 3D depth of the architecture and all the inward angles. The fact that it almost doesn't look like a chronograph in the standard version actually is appealing to me as I tend to appreciate simple dials more and more. Super understated; looks like an up/down until you turn the watch and just dive....
I found a rose gold/black dial version of the 2004 for sale http://www.chrono24.com/en/alangesoehne/1815-chronograph--id1244136.htm?query=Lange+chronograph+1815&dosearch=true&searchexplain=1&resultview=list&dosearch=true&urlSubpath=/search/index.htm and was exactly wondering what the differences were between the 2 movements. Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I'm in for the new 1815 if and when they come up with a rose gold/black dial version.
