A. Lange & Söhne

Yah...I will have to go try the RL on my wrist again :-)

btw, the original PLM is not made for Lange 1. Its design is based on 1815.
Lange 1 has its own tourbillon.
I know that RL PLM is based on Richard lange and hence the same size but I don't think I will agree that RL cannot be smaller than 40.5mm
because it will affect its accuracy.
Richard Lange is just a time only piece and I do think there are other accurate time only pieces out there which are capable of producing excellent time and yet in smaller size (Journe 38mm CS, Dufour Simplicity and kari Observatoire) . We both know that Lange is capable of producing such watch in smaller size and , in fact,
they did mention that they are trying to do what Dufour is doing but in greater production , when they release the Richard Lange. Dufour didn't make his watch to be big in order to be accurate or better though. So that's why I suspect it's a decision made by Lange base on the current trend and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's a business decision amd if it's wrong, they will revert to 38mm. So far from the case size they keep producing, the market must be telling them they are doing the right thing.
I can only blame on my puny wrist smile
