Hi guys I'm looking at getting my first Lange so doing my homework before making a decision.I have a thing for moon phase watches so I'm deciding between these two pieces. I'm looking forward to your advise and comments/opinions Iqbal...

Seen both, love the 1 moonphase. Wanted to get it so many times just so many missed opportunities.

I was debating the same thing (only in theory for now, but one day I want to put it into practice), Although not your most classic Langes, for me the Saxonia is the one. The symmetry for me makes it perfect, and it is still Lange enough (big date, perfect... 

Saxonia moonphase is great also, but i find the date button at 10 o clock keeps bothering me aesthetically

I like symmetry, hence why I would go for the Saxonia. I completely get what you are saying with the date button, but somehow it does not break the symmetry in my mind. In other cases, something like that may be a showstopper for me from buying a watch (l... 

There are million types of watches out there and there are million types of people out there!! Watches which are not appealing to you will surely appealing to somebody! In case of saxonia moonphase, hide the date button, and i am definitely sold off!!

Once you read about it, can your brain still ignore it?

I'm still looking for the next generation of lange moonphase with hidden date button!! Lange, do you hear us???

I guess that is because the assimetry of the dial itself. Place it at 4 and it will be unbalanced!

Ok, so it\'s not the question you asked and we shouldn\'t muddy the waters. But I would go for the Lange 1 Moonphase - the non-Grand one. I personally find the balance of the dial better with the moonphase in the seconds subdial...there\'s a poetry and el... 

With a watch like this, hand wound is the way to go. There is so much pleasure in winding a watch by hand. And that power reserve! You are both a fortunate and capable man to have the option of owning a Lange with a moon phase. Neither choice will be wron...

I had it on about a month ago, the watch is stunning! Lange really hit a homerun with that watch. The grand MP is stunning as well I just prefer the size and dial layout of the original MP instead. Good luck with your decision. Tony

What do you like about each? I\'m assuming you want the moonphase and rose gold for that elegant look. Both are great pieces and fill different aspects to a collection if you ask me. The Saxiona Moonphase, it\'s significantly priced less than the GL1. It\...

If you include all three models for consideration the Lange One Moonphase is the one to get. The watch is pretty much perfect to my eye and it works well both in rose gold and platinum. One of Lange's true masterpieces as far as regular production watches...
