Lange will open a company-owned "salon" in San Francisco in several months. The address will be 140 Geary St. but upstairs on the third floor, not at street level. I'm not sure what the "salon" concept will look like, but I assume it'll be different from ...

Has noticeably gotten worse since the pandemic. I wonder what the obsession with downtown boutiques is, just catering to the business audience I guess? Personally I would be much more inclined to spend some time at a cozy store in Hayes Valley or somewher... 

It's true that downtown is not my favorite part of SF. But the same is true of other cities, like NYC, LA, New Orleans, etc. I understand why the brands put their boutiques where they do. I've been to LA many times, but I've never quite made it to Costa M... 

By appointment means we will check you out thoroughly before we buzz you into a heavily protected fortress where only one watch will be shown at a time and the back office will be a doubly re informed safe room. A very very secure boutique.

that you will be able to get a haircut while looking at watches.

The arches in the windows are perfect for the Lange logo.

It is of course much more comfortable than the boutique setting. It is rather like you are in your living room and just checking out watches with buddies. The view in GVA is fantastic, and has ample natural light, which is something I always miss at groun... 

This is great news. I live in San Francisco and will visit once open and post pics here for everyone. There will also be a new Patek salon and a new Rolex salon as well. Patek has been pulled from our Tiffany's and Shreve & Co. in anticipation of the ...

For this Saturday…need to get my watch serviced and before this salon opened up I would have had to fly to Orange County to drop it off for service!

May want to consider going to Alkis directly.

If so, presumably they'll send it to the NYC Lange boutique for servicing (two watchmakers work in that boutique). Please let us know approximately long it will take, if they do send it there, per Dakkonmc's post about turnaround time. I have no idea how ...

Last year I had a watch that needed to be serviced. Lange quoted close to 9 months and Alkis was able to get it back to me within 6 months and this included watchmakers holiday. He has done some work on a few watches for me in the past 2 years. The guy do... 

I lived in NYC 10 years ago and took it to the boutique (and I think it went to him) It was completed in <2 months Will keep you posted on timelines

Alkis doesn't do boutique repairs any longer due to the high-volume workload. It'll go to the Lange-authorized watchmakers who work at the NYC boutique if you drop it off at the SF salon. They handle all the repairs from all boutiques now.

That's awful. Maybe the first SF Lange salon customer to get PTSD during the course of a visit! 4-6 months is pretty normal. Hopefully closer to 4. Did anything surprise you about any of the pieces you tried on?

I think the lighting was so good that every piece looked amazing. My Saxonia hadn’t looked that good since 2013!
