You're right about the Langematik. Lange didn't make an "official" blue-dial variant. My watch was born as a black-dial 301.027. Then, in the late 1990s, the original purchaser (who was well known to pre-Richemont Lange at the time) learned that a blue prototype dial existed, and Lange agreed to put that dial on his watch. I was fortunate to find this! The original purchaser actually wanted to auction it, but he said the auction houses he contacted were taking too long to authenticate it (because of the blue dial they had never seen before), so he went ahead and sold it (to me) on his own. It came with nice provenance -- some letters/notes between him and the Lange factory from the late 1990s.

Langematik on a GF style bracelet

To me it is a very cool Lange - Understated and underated. The first automatic from this brand, it also shares some design cues with my 2 favourite ALS limited editions. While it has the same layout, size and view from the back as the Langematik Anniversa...
I couldn't agree more.

They have just enough age now that the tritium lume has a bit of patina.
Fantastic combo 👍

I thought about assembling this combo, but the thought of white gold against steel bothers me a little. Enjoy and let me know if that risk is worth taking please 😛
Superb to hear

is the big date, manual wound, one of the first models released With a blue dial and the split ALS logo sorry about the weird photo angle - I experience some issues on the uploading front ...
A lot of charm packed into 34mm.

The big date is emblematic of the brand. Blue will always be classic. Hard to find a better brand for a manual wind watch. Lange’s tend to be signed either straight, curved and less often split. This design has a nice symmetry. I have a fondness for the c...

It looks awesome and vintage stylish

It reminds me of the glorious Patek 3417. Which version of the bracelet did you get? Polished, Satin or Semi? Wear it in good health. René
Thanks a lot for the info

I purchased it new in 1998 after meeting Mr. Lange and Mr. Bluemlein
Lovely!

I am very glad you posted your beautiful watch and bracelet! I have a 19mm WG Lange bracelet but haven't attached it to a watch. I took this pic over a year ago but never decided which watch to use with the bracelet (the one on the left is a blue-dial sib...

Your Lumen matches well with jeans
Thanks lol. I'll post pics if I do it!

These were the other combinations that I thought might look decent (old pics below), but I wasn't sure about mixing a PT case with a WG bracelet -- so in the end I put it on hold and did nothing yet. ...
Thanks 😊

Though as the weather turns cooler now, it is time to change from steel to leather! An opportunity to change the look and feel of the time piece.
