I am a little surprised by the size. I would have thought 38.5 would be even psychologically better placed with respect to the past and the Richard Lange. However the white gold is soooooo beautiful. MHO of course, Jay

the lange sight states the watch is 40mm in diameter. i wonder how if looks in the metal at that size. its quite the jump from the 35.5 of the previous 1815. your thoughts would be much appreciated . cheers and thanks for the post kevin

The size of the new 1815 is: 40 x 8,9 mm Yes, it is a big step, but don´t forget about the new/bigger movement. To me it looks quite good (from the pictures). RL is 40,5 x 10,6 mm, Lange 1 is 38,5 mm and a bit higher, .... Most Lange´s are well balanced. ...
