Are 37mm too small?
It depen ds on the proportions of the watch, my friend.
For such a classic and elegant watch like this one, I find this is the perfect size.
Look at the PP Calatrava, some are even smaller, and they actually are appealing, dangerously tempting, don't you think?
On this Anniversary, the aperture of the dial is important, and on the wrist, you really have the feeling that the watch is bigger than it is in real.
I even feel that if bigger, it would not have been so nice...
But I'm certainly biased.

If you consider the whole volume of this watch, a bigger diameter would enhance the thickness, the bezel, and at the end, maybe it will loose it perfect balance, as it often happens when you amplify an original design. See for example the RO from AP, and ...
Nicolas, I think our friends at Lange
could keep the dimensions in perfect balnace to 40,0 mm. I must admit to liking larger watch diameters, with this IWC 5002 strapped to my wrist today! Best My Friend, -- Richard.
