The Anniversary is Perfect in term of many things , including the size 
The only thing I can nitpick is the size of the winding crown. I would love to have it bigger though it is an automatic.
If you compare this Anniversary to Patek 5078 or Dufour Simplicity (the faux Enamael version), you will know what I mean.
So, imho, this Anniversary is extremely close to perfection

Are 37mm too small? It depen ds on the proportions of the watch, my friend. For such a classic and elegant watch like this one, I find this is the perfect size. Look at the PP Calatrava, some are even smaller, and they actually are appealing, dangerously ...

If you consider the whole volume of this watch, a bigger diameter would enhance the thickness, the bezel, and at the end, maybe it will loose it perfect balance, as it often happens when you amplify an original design. See for example the RO from AP, and ...
Nicolas, I think our friends at Lange
could keep the dimensions in perfect balnace to 40,0 mm. I must admit to liking larger watch diameters, with this IWC 5002 strapped to my wrist today! Best My Friend, -- Richard.
