But yes, I hear you: I think I would like it even better if the subdials were centered, if anything at all to allow for the numbers 4 and 8 to reappear on the dial. I wouldn't mind that numbers 3 and 9 disappear altogether.
The subdials would have to be downsized somewhat to this effect.

I'm oddly compelled by the sheer eccentricity of the layout, which weirdly feels harmonious when the dial is viewed in its entirety. Judging from the comments thus far, I'm the odd one out though!
