I don't know if the post should be in the ALS topic or the Photography topic, but I'd like to know what you guys think of the photos.... because the watch is magnificent, there is no doubt 😉 ...

The clarity, lighting, etc. One question, on the movement side. It looks like the 3/4 plate has anglage on the upper part, but down on the part where the mainspring barrel is, it is not present? It this because it is adjacent to the remontoire?

Yes, there is no anglage in this region, I don’t know what is the reason for that 🤔

I just checked the ALS website and the pictures also show no anglage in that region...would be interesting to know why it was omitted in that area. Source: official ALS website ...  

However that’s a pretty lame excuse if it’s the case, so perhaps another reason on a watch like this.

According to ALS, all the compnents that are not visible to the owner (under the 3/4 plate for many of their movements) are also finished to the same standard as those that are visible, so I don't think lack of owner appreciation would be the reason for i... 

Quoting from the Langepedia article on ZW Date ... "the bridges next to the remontoire bridge are neither beveled nor polished to put the emphasis on the highly brushed remontoir bridge and raw German Silver." This seems to be a signature feature of the Z...

I used several homemade, desk lamps, along with strong bulbs and transparent paper to diffuse the light. You have to be careful with the maximum wattage of the set, because one Ikea lamp melted 😂 Then I made many attempts to set it up and came out with wh... 

...but I am sure with the lights designed for photography it would be definitely easier, then maybe it would be more boring too 😅

These are maybe the best Macro shots of a watch that I've seen in a while. Stunning, and the fact that you did that with 5D and 100mm macro is fantastic. Also, good props on the light, its very soft but highlights all the key aspects of the shot. Bravo, t... 

The camera is just a tool to achieve the goal. Of course, the better the camera, lens and equipment is, the easier it is to achieve the desired effect, but it is not necessary 😊
