Gorgeous: YES, Practical: perhaps worth checking NOMOS?
Let me open by saying that I am in awe and love with pretty much all ALS - each time I have one in/on my hands, each look brings a smile to my face. Having to travel extensively though, I find myself worrying for expensive pieces, as understated as they may be. Quite often in destinations other than the jetset routes, this can be a (sweet) burdeon, albeit a lovely one. To my mind, the NOMOS Zeitwelt is a practical travel watch - gorgeous, Glasshutte, classic and clean, lovely complication and yet far more affordable. The Saxonia Dual Time is AWESOME but at times/locations not so practical.

Agreed about being practical
I have had various GMT or World Time type watches, but this type is most practical as you pointed out. And the 24-hour dial on the top makes a big difference when actually use it. Thank you for your review/report. Very refreshing view for the novelty. Bes...

Yes Tom, the Nomos has a very specific layout.
In its "spirit", it makes me think more to the Timezone with its cities wheel. But you are right: it is a clever watch. Thanks for your message! Fx
