To me, it is a Master Home Time De Luxe, nothing else. Lange took the easy way out, with this watch, in my opinion. I read with a lot of interest what you wrote about the necessity of replacing the 3 quarter rotor with a " classic " one. We just forget th... 

... at least in your head what is the most important! LOL! The "old" clients wish a more daring attitude, a less "controled" design, that's sure. This Saxonia is flawless when we look at it. But we expect more from Lange, we expect the spirit of the begin... 

I have had various GMT or World Time type watches, but this type is most practical as you pointed out. And the 24-hour dial on the top makes a big difference when actually use it. Thank you for your review/report. Very refreshing view for the novelty. Bes... 

I do agree, the 24 hours subdial is very practical. But I would have liked... something unsual here. Anyway, Lange used a coherent approach to design this watch. Fx

Here Patek is in terms of design lightyears ahead. Also a gold plated rotor, for any reason, is an absolute no go in this league. Harsh words from a Lange fan, I know. Saw a YG 5134 at the AD (for some reason, although discontinued...) last weekend and mu...

I understand your point of you but the automatic caliber contributes to the "practical" side. And the Timezone has a handwind movement. Thanks! Fx

Let me open by saying that I am in awe and love with pretty much all ALS - each time I have one in/on my hands, each look brings a smile to my face. Having to travel extensively though, I find myself worrying for expensive pieces, as understated as they m...

The full central rotor makes the movement less attractive. The 3/4 rotor always pleasently confuses me to presume that the movement is hand winding. I cannot stand the gold plated rotor. Whatever reason given by Lange, I think it is a compromised job. Thi...

Sorry..after the world, esp Patek 5134 and more recent 5164 aquanaut....the Saxonia DT is playing catchup, IMHO. The other reason for buying a Lange...superlative and fine movement finishing...is not visually evident in the usual Lange "proportions", agai...
