First Post - Hello all
Hi All!
This is my first post on the Purist forum. I started to learn to appreciate the beauty of haute horlogerie around a year ago, and I must thank all of you for sharing your thoughts and knowledge. Earlier this year, I bought a Lange 1 WG, which I think is classic and a good starting point for myself. I have been very happy with that.
A month ago I had the chance to travel to Europe and was considering to make an addition in RG. I have thought about VC Chronometre Royal RG, the enamel dial of which is just wonderful imho. However the price is quite high. Also I personally prefer small second sub-dial. I have considered Breguet 5140 as well, where the off-centred second sub-dial is really special. However it only comes in YG, and the numerals look a bit thin on me.
The other option is the one I finally bought - 1815 RG. At first glance at the AD the dial is a bit large on my wrist, and I thought it would be perfect if it came in 38 mm. Having said that the color combination of the RG case, gleaming silver dial and blue hands is so amazing that I could not resist its charm. Fortunately I did decide to pull the trigger and bring it home. The more I wear and look at it the more I love its simplicity and elegance. Many of my friends, most of whom do not like color metal watch at all, think this particular piece a very nice and suitable watch for suit.
So here are some pics of my 1815 taken at the office today.
Hope to keep the communication with you all here!
Last but not least, many thanks to Nicholas for offering me the shopping tips!
Regards
CP

A classic piece which I'm sure you'll enjoy in the years to come. The blue hands are a rarity especially in pink gold & this is what sets it apart IMO. It was a tough decision between this and the YG version with the brushed sides which I also like.Th...
